It is a type of testing to check and evaluate the communication between two software systems.
Interface is the connection that integrates different components of an application or system. The interface could be anything like APIs, web services etc. Testing of these connecting interfaces is defined as Interface Testing.
Every software application comprises of several components, such as the server, database, plugins, etc. To ensure the software works seamlessly, it is important that every componet works efficiently with one another with proper communication between each of the components. The connection between the different components is termed as interface. And the testing to ensure the different components work efficiently with each other is called Interface Testing
